Elementary Cheer

K-5 Cheer

Elementary Cheerleading is designed for grades 3rd-5th grade. The scholars may try out in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade.

Elementary Cheerleading is typically comprised of 10-25 athletes with a variety of skills and abilities. Routines generally created will include elements of tumbling, stunting, jumping, dance, and other skills set to music.  The routines are typically 2 1/2 minutes in length.  Tumbling training skills are required to participate in Elementary Cheerleading. However, tumbling is not required to be selected for the team but is strongly encouraged. The cheerleaders will cheer for 3rd-5th grade volleyball and basketball games. The cheerleaders will travel with the volleyball and basketball teams to some of the away games via the school's transportation. In addition, the cheerleaders will perform at school wide events throughout the school year.

The cheer season is typically August-April.
