Girls to Women

Girls to Women is a mentoring program offered at AWBLA for grades 6-8 this 2019-2020 school year.
Our mission is to encourage the development of positive bonds and relationships with female role models! We empower girls to love the skin they are in and embrace their individuality and uniqueness!!! We accomplish this through focusing on 3 areas of mentorship:

Community Service - 1 campus-wide project and  1 on your own

Social and Emotional Development - Social outings, field trips, and events hosted, designed, and planned by the members and mentors.

Female Education - Education specifically chosen to address topics/issues young ladies will experience in different educational and personal environments.

GTW participants develop lasting friendships, sisterhoods, and connections with each other and see a helping guiding hand in their mentors.
